[HathawaySchool] Safety of our students

Dear Parents, 
 
I am writing to you today to ask your cooperation in helping to keep your children, our students safe during the arrival and dismissal times. Too many children and adults are walking in the parking lot and road; too many little children are not walking with parents/adults. This is a very serious concern for the bus drivers and those of us who are on duty during these times. Please use the sidewalks and do not walk  in between the busses; please do not walk through the parking lot either. 
 
We continue to get complaints from the bus company about the drivers who do not respect the STOP signs on the bus when children are entering or exiting the busses. This is a safety hazard, so please remind your family and friends of the need to stop and wait until the sign is turned off. 
 
There is also no food, drink, toys or writing tools allowed on the busses. All of these must be kept inside of the backpacks. 
 
I am confident that this reminder will increase the safety with which we want all of our children to come and go to school.
