On the flyer below the date was incorrect.  The actual pickup date is February 15th.  Sorry for any confusion.
 

 

Food Drive

 

Hathaway School will be having a Food Drive next week, February 11-15, 2008. 

This is an opportunity for our students to give to those children in the community who need some help. Let's think of it as a student to student connection!!!

 

All  food items will be donated to The Martin Luther King Center Food Bank, which serves all of Newport County residents. Each grade has been assigned a list of food items. 

Items will be picked up by the Martin Luther King Center on Friday, February 15, 2008.

Pre-School/ Kindergarten: Cereal, pancake mix, muffin mix, pancake syrup, tea, coffee

 

Grade 1: Beans - canned (baked, kidney, lima, green, etc.)          Beans - dried, rice, rice mixes

 

Grade 2: Canned/dried milk, juices, sugar, canned/dried fruit, Trail mix

 

Grade 3: Cake mixes, brownie mix, cookie mixes, cookies, crackers, frosting, Jello,  pudding mix

             

Grade 4: Peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, pasta, canned or instant potatoes

 

Grade 5: Canned chili, beef stew, hash, soup (canned or dried, tuna, 

   Canned meats/fish
