[HathawaySchool] Volunteering in Schools

Greetings, 
 
Volunteers in Schools (VIS) would like to invite you to attend a volunteer orientation on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. in the school cafetorium. We will discuss the many volunteer opportunities and school policies/procedures at this orientation. We will explain the importance of signing in and logging your volunteer hours. Our principal, Dr. Martin and representatives of VIS and the Hathaway Parents Association will be present to meet with you and to answer your questions about volunteering in the school. Come and bring a friend! 
 
For those of you who have not filled out a VIS  application or need additional forms, we will have forms available at the orientation. Anyone who wishes to volunteer at any time during the school year must complete an application. This includes assisting in classroom activities, field trips and the Journey through Books. 
 
We realize family schedules are very busy. We appreciate any time and talent you can offer to help our children have a great school year.
