Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our students and their families from all of us at Hathaway School. We are truly fortunate to have such supportive parents and school community as we make every effort to help your children reach their learning goals. It has been very obvious, especially during parent teacher conferences, that you are actively involved in making sure your children get an excellent education. For this we are very grateful.

Thank you to all of you who have contributed to the various activities,i.e. Book Fair and the Bill Harley concert. These experiences further the development of the whole child.

Our traditional Holiday Hullabaloo is scheduled for Saturday, December 1, from 9-1. For those of your who are not familiar with this event, it is a holiday shopping opportunity for the children. On Monday, there will be shopping list forms sent home so, if your child is coming to do his or her shopping, they will have the list of individuals for whom they are expected to buy a gift and the price range of the gifts. There will be more details in the Hornet, but my purpose today is to tell you that this event is in jeopardy because to date we do not have enough volunteers! We still need adults to be elves to take the children shopping in the shopping room. We also need grandparents to wrap the presents with the children. (No parents are allowed to do this since the gifts are a surprise!) So, in the spirit of the holidays, can you sign up for an hour to help?? Call Kris Aleicho at 683-5778 or email her at aaleicho at cox.net. Unfortunately, if we do not get enough volunteers this tradition will be lost at Hathaway School this year and in the future.

Thanks for thinking about it and finding a way to help.

Again, thanks for all you do for Hathaway School!!
