Hello and Happy Holidays,

This message is a bit unique so I hope it makes someone in our Hathaway community smile with the news! Today I found out that a friend of mine who has two beautiful, gently cats that love to be held and are great with children must give them up. One is a calico and the other is a tortoise shell. These female siblings are six years old, spayed, declawed and very clean. They have been owned by this woman and have received great care. Unfortunately, she has bone cancer and must move out to the area (Middletown) to be nearer to her doctor. She wants to find a home, preferably with children, before too long. She is moving on Jan. 5th.

If you are interested in having these pets or know someone who is, can you call Sister Dorothy Maloney at 862-6333. If you can not get in touch with Dorothy, I will be back at school on the 26th for a couple of hours after 11:00 a.m. You can also call me (508-697-1118) at home from today until the 24th or leave a message at school and I will get back to you on the 26th.

I am hoping someone can "find the cats under the Christmas tree" and love them for a long time.
Some children will really love these beauties!

Peace,

Christina M.Martin, Ed.D.
Principal
